KvM has finally become a real game. One of the most fundamental aspects of a game is that it must have a failure state. It could be argued that an interactive experience need not create failure but a game is not such a thing. Both are not required but to be a game there must be winning or losing. In KvM there is only losing. You cannot escape the fate of clicking. Once you start there must eventually be a stop and when that time comes, the game is over.
It's not much of a fun game now but I am having fun making it. I love to make effects. The radius of the orbit of the satellites can change as well as their color and how long it takes before they wink out of existence. This can be used to gradually throttle difficulty.
To make the game fun to play there must be drama. The text does help in this aspect, hooking the player but this is just the set up for more to come. I am not sure what I'll do but I have plenty of ideas.
